Maintenance mode (وضع الصيانة) lets you take your site offline to visitors for a while — without losing anything. When it’s on, people who visit your address see a simple maintenance page instead of your normal site, while you keep working behind the scenes. When you’re ready, you turn it off and your site is public again. Use it whenever you’re making bigger changes and don’t want visitors to see a half-finished page — for example, redesigning your home page, swapping a template, or getting your store ready before launch.
Maintenance mode lives in your site dashboard, in the Builder (البلدر) settings — not in your account portal. It changes only what visitors see; you can still sign in and work on your site as usual.

When to use it

Before you launch

Keep your address private while you build your first pages and set up your store, then switch it off to go live.

During a big redesign

Hide work-in-progress changes — like a new home page or template — until everything looks right.

While you fix something

Show a friendly “we’ll be back soon” page instead of a broken or half-edited layout.

For a short pause

Temporarily close your site for an announcement, a seasonal break, or a planned update.

What visitors see

While maintenance mode is on:
  • Anyone who opens your site address sees a maintenance page instead of your normal pages.
  • The message lets them know the site is temporarily unavailable and to check back soon.
  • Your real pages, products, and content are safe — nothing is deleted. They’re just hidden from the public for now.
Maintenance mode hides your site from visitors; it doesn’t take down your hosting. Your site stays online and ready, and everything reappears the moment you turn maintenance mode off.

Turn on maintenance mode

Open your site dashboard

From your account portal, click Glowply dashboard to open your site dashboard in a new tab.

Go to the Builder settings

In the side menu, open the Builder (البلدر) section and find its settings, where Maintenance mode (وضع الصيانة) lives alongside the Builder’s other advanced options.

Switch maintenance mode on

Turn on Maintenance mode and save. Your site address now shows the maintenance page to visitors.

Check it in a separate window

Open your site address in a private or incognito browser window — or on your phone while signed out — to see exactly what visitors see.
Check in a private window because, while you’re signed in to your dashboard, your browser may still show you the real site. A private window views your site like a regular visitor would.

Turn off maintenance mode

When your changes are ready, turn maintenance mode back off to make your site public again.

Return to the Builder settings

In your site dashboard, open the Builder (البلدر) settings again.

Switch maintenance mode off

Turn Maintenance mode off and save.

Confirm your site is live

Open your site address in a private window again. You should now see your normal site instead of the maintenance page.
Don’t forget to turn maintenance mode off when you’re done. As long as it’s on, visitors and customers can’t see your site or place orders — so your store stays closed until you switch it back. Make turning it off the last step of any update.

Frequently asked questions

No. Maintenance mode only hides your site from visitors. Your pages, products, orders, and content all stay exactly as they are and come back the moment you turn it off.
Yes. You stay signed in to your site dashboard and can edit pages, manage your Store, and use the Builder as normal. Only visitors to your public address see the maintenance page.
No. Because visitors see the maintenance page instead of your store, they can’t browse products or place orders until you turn maintenance mode off. Keep it off whenever you want to be open for business.
No. Your <name>.myglowply.com address stays the same, your hosting keeps running, and your Subscription and Wallet are unaffected. Maintenance mode only controls whether visitors see your site or the maintenance page.
