# Customers

> The Customers area lists the people who buy from your Store, with their contact details, order history, and total spend. Learn how to view, search, and understand your customers.

**Customers (العملاء)** is where you see the people who buy from your **Store** — their contact details, how many orders they've placed, and how much they've spent with you. It builds up on its own as orders come in, so it's a ready-made record of who your shoppers are.

You'll find it in your **site dashboard** under **Store (المتجر) → Customers (العملاء)**. This is different from your **account portal**, which is only for billing Glowply.

<Info>
  **Which area am I in?** Your **customers** live in your **site dashboard (لوحة تحكم موقعك)** — the same place you manage products and orders. Your own **Subscription**, **Wallet**, and account details are separate, in your **account portal**. This page is about the people who shop with you, not your Glowply billing.
</Info>

## Open your customers

Customers are part of your site dashboard, so you reach them the same way you reach the rest of your Store.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your site dashboard">
    Sign in to Glowply, open your **account portal**, and click **Glowply dashboard** on your site card. Your dashboard opens in a new browser tab. Need a hand? See [Site dashboard overview](/en/site/dashboard-overview).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to Store → Customers">
    In the side menu, open **Store (المتجر)**, then choose **Customers (العملاء)**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Browse or search">
    Scroll the list to see everyone who's bought from you, or use **search** to jump to a specific person.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## The customer list

Open **Store → Customers** to see everyone who has bought from you, in one list. Each row gives you a quick summary of a single customer:

| Column          | What it shows                                                                         |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Name** | The customer's name, as entered at checkout. |
| **Email** | The email address on their orders — how you reach them. |
| **Orders** | How many orders this customer has placed with you. |
| **Total spent** | The total amount they've paid across all their orders, in Egyptian pounds (EGP, ج.م). |
| **Location** | Where their orders ship to or are billed, when available. |

<Note>
  Your customer list grows automatically. Every time someone checks out, their details are recorded here — you don't add customers by hand. New buyers appear after their first order is placed.
</Note>

<Tip>
  **Total spent** and **Orders** make it easy to spot your best customers at a glance. Sort or scan by these to see who shops with you most.
</Tip>

## Search and find a customer

When your list grows, **search** is the fastest way to find someone.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the search box">
    At the top of the **Customers** list, type into the **search** field.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Search by name or email">
    Enter the customer's **name** or **email address**. The list narrows as you type to match what you've entered.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the customer">
    Select the customer from the results to see their details and order history.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Searching by **email** is the most reliable way to find the right person — names can repeat or be spelled differently, but an email address is unique to one shopper.
</Tip>

## View a customer's details and orders

Open a customer to see everything you know about them in one place:

* **Contact details** — their name, email, and the addresses used on their orders.
* **Order history** — the orders they've placed, with the date, total, and status of each.
* **Total spend** — how much they've paid you overall, a quick measure of how valuable the customer is.

From a customer's orders you can jump straight to any single order to see what was bought and to update its status. For everything you can do with an order, see [Orders](/en/store/orders).

<Note>
  A customer's **email** is how the order — and any confirmation or update — reaches them. If an email looks wrong, check it against the order before you contact the customer.
</Note>

## How customer accounts work on your Store

Customers don't need to do anything special to appear here — they show up as a natural result of shopping with you.

* **Guest checkout.** Most shoppers buy as a **guest**: they enter their name, email, and address at checkout, pay, and you receive the order. Their details are still recorded under **Customers** so you have their history.
* **Registered accounts.** A customer may also create an **account** on your site. An account lets them sign in, check out faster next time, and view their own past orders — but it's their choice, not a requirement to buy.
* **One record per person.** Orders that share the same email are tied to the same customer, so their order count and total spend add up over time.

<Info>
  Whether someone checks out as a guest or with an account, you manage everything the same way — from **Store → Customers** and **Store → Orders**. You never need to set up accounts for your shoppers; your Store handles that for you.
</Info>

## Respect your customers' privacy

The details here — names, emails, and addresses — are personal information your customers trusted you with.

<Warning>
  Use customer details only to fulfill orders and to support the people who bought from you. Don't share or sell them. Handling customer data responsibly keeps your shoppers' trust and your Store in good standing.
</Warning>

## Common questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How does someone become a customer?">
    Anyone who completes a checkout on your Store becomes a customer. You don't add them yourself — their details are recorded automatically from their order, whether they bought as a guest or created an account.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What's the difference between a customer and an order?">
    An **order** is a single purchase — one trip through checkout. A **customer** is the person behind it. One customer can have many orders, and their order count and **total spent** add up across all of them. See [Orders](/en/store/orders).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do customers have to create an account to buy?">
    No. Most shoppers check out as a **guest** without signing up. Creating an account is optional — it just lets a returning customer sign in, check out faster, and see their own past orders.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I see how much a customer has spent?">
    Yes. Each customer shows their **total spent** across all orders and how many orders they've placed, so you can quickly see who your best shoppers are.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="A customer's email looks wrong — what should I do?">
    Check the email on their order first. The email address is how confirmations and updates reach the customer, so it's worth confirming before you reach out. You can contact the customer using the details on the order.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where do messages from my contact form go?">
    Those aren't customers. Messages sent through a form on your site collect under **Form submissions**, not **Customers**. See [Form submissions](/en/store/form-submissions).
  </Accordion>
