# Helping search engines find your site

> Your site map, richer search results, and content protection — all handled automatically so search engines discover and understand every page.

For your site to show up on Google, search engines first have to **find** your pages and then **understand** them. Glowply takes care of both for you automatically — there's nothing to install or switch on. This page explains what's happening behind the scenes and the one thing that's worth doing yourself: telling Google where your site map is.

  Your site map for search engines
</h2>

A **site map** is simply a list of all the pages on your site, written in a format search engines read. It helps them discover your pages quickly and makes sure none get missed — especially helpful for a new site.

Glowply creates this site map for you automatically and keeps it up to date as you add, edit, or remove pages. It also lists your images, so your photos can turn up in image search. Any page you've [hidden from search](/en/marketing/seo/search-appearance#hide-from-search) is left out of it.

Your site map lives at your address followed by `/sitemap.xml` — for example `https://yourname.myglowply.com/sitemap.xml`.

<Tip>
  To get found faster, tell Google where your site map is. Create a free **Google Search Console** account, add your site, and submit your `/sitemap.xml` address. This is optional — search engines find sites on their own over time — but it speeds things up and shows you how your site is doing in search.
</Tip>

<Note>
  You don't need to open or read the site map yourself — it's made for search engines, not people. Just know it exists and is always current.
</Note>

  Richer search results
</h2>

Beyond the title and description, Glowply automatically adds extra **behind-the-scenes details** about each page — what kind of page it is, who wrote an article, how your pages connect, and your business information. Search engines use these details to understand your content more deeply and, in some cases, to show your pages more attractively in results (for example, with extra information beneath the link).

This is fully automatic. You don't set anything up — just keep your pages clear and well-organized, and Glowply describes them to search engines for you.

<Tip>
  The single best thing you can do to help here is write clear page titles, honest descriptions, and good headings in the [Builder (البلدر)](/en/site/builder-overview). The clearer your content, the better search engines can present it.
</Tip>

  Protection for your content
</h2>

When you publish blog posts, they can be picked up and re-published automatically by other apps and sites. To protect you, Glowply automatically adds a small **link back to the original post** whenever your content goes out this way.

That means even if someone copies your article, there's a link pointing back to you — so search engines can tell your version is the original, and your site gets the credit. This happens on its own, with nothing to configure.

<Note>
  This protects the trust and ranking of your original content. It's one of the small, automatic touches that keep your site healthy in search.
