# Subscription & trial

> Your Subscription keeps your Glowply site online. Learn how the free trial works, what each status means, and how renewals are paid from your Wallet.

Your **Subscription (الاشتراك)** is what keeps your Glowply site and store online. It starts as a **free trial** the moment your site is created — there's no separate purchase to make. After the trial, your subscription renews itself every month by deducting the renewal amount from your **Wallet**.

You'll find it in your **account portal** under **Subscription (الاشتراك)**.

<Note>
  Glowply uses a single monthly plan, priced in Egyptian pounds (EGP). There's nothing to choose or buy up front — your trial is created for you automatically.
</Note>

## What you'll see

The Subscription page shows the current state of your plan at a glance:

* **Status** — where your subscription is right now (see [Subscription statuses](#subscription-statuses) below)
* **Days left** — a countdown ring showing how many days remain in the current period, whether that's the rest of your trial or the time until your next renewal
* **Renewal details** — the renewal amount and the date it's next due

<Info>
  The countdown ring changes color as the date gets closer: it turns **amber** when **7 days or fewer** remain, and **red** when **3 days or fewer** remain. Treat those colors as a reminder to check your Wallet.
</Info>

## How the free trial works

When your site is built, Glowply automatically creates a free trial subscription for you. During the trial:

* Your site and store are fully online and usable.
* **Nothing is charged** — your Wallet isn't touched while the trial runs.
* The days-left countdown shows how much of the trial remains.

When the trial ends, your first renewal is taken from your Wallet. So the one thing to do before the trial runs out is **top up your Wallet** with enough credit to cover that first renewal.

<Tip>
  Add credit a few days early. As long as your Wallet balance covers the renewal amount before the trial ends, your first renewal goes through automatically and your site keeps running without interruption.
</Tip>

## Subscription statuses

Your subscription is always in one of these four states:

| Status                      | What it means                                                                           |
| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Trialing (فترة تجريبية)** | Your free trial is active. The site is live and nothing is charged yet. |
| **Active (نشط)** | Your subscription is paid and current. It will renew again at the end of the period. |
| **Past due (متأخر الدفع)** | A renewal couldn't be taken because your Wallet balance was too low. Top up to recover. |
| **Cancelled (ملغي)** | The subscription has been ended. Contact support if you'd like to start again. |

## How renewals are paid

Glowply doesn't charge a card on a schedule. Instead, every renewal is **debited from your Wallet** — the same prepaid balance you top up yourself.

<Steps>
  <Step title="A period ends">
    At the end of your trial, and again at the end of each monthly period, a renewal becomes due.
  </Step>

  <Step title="The amount is taken from your Wallet">
    Glowply deducts the renewal amount from your Wallet balance. There's no separate card charge and nothing for you to confirm.
  </Step>

  <Step title="A successful renewal extends your subscription">
    If your Wallet has enough credit, the renewal succeeds, your status stays **Active**, and the period moves forward by about 30 days. You'll see the charge in your Wallet's transaction history.
  </Step>

  <Step title="A failed renewal becomes past due">
    If your balance is too low, the renewal can't go through and your subscription becomes **past due**. Glowply keeps retrying the renewal automatically — as soon as you top up enough credit, the next attempt succeeds and your subscription returns to **Active**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  Keep your Wallet topped up before a renewal is due. A balance that's lower than the renewal amount turns your subscription **past due**, and your site can be paused until you add credit. See [Renewals & past due](/en/account/renewals-and-past-due) for how to recover.
</Warning>

## Changing or cancelling your plan

Glowply offers one monthly plan, so there's no upgrade, downgrade, or cancel button inside the portal. To make any of these changes, reach out to support and the team will take care of it for you.

* **Cancel your subscription** — contact support to end it.
* **Change your plan** — contact support; plan changes aren't self-serve.
