# Sign up & phone verification

> Create your Glowply account: fill in the sign-up form, choose your site address, and confirm your phone with a 6-digit code sent on WhatsApp or SMS.

Signing up for Glowply is a single short form followed by a quick phone check. You enter your details, confirm your phone number with a **6-digit code**, and Glowply builds your site and drops you into your **account portal**. This page walks through every field and what to expect from the verification step.

## Before you start

Have these ready so the form takes under a minute:

## Open the sign-up form

Go to [glowply.com](https://glowply.com) and choose **Start now (ابدأ الآن)**. This opens the sign-up form, where you'll complete every field below in one place.

## Fill in the form

  <Step title="Choose your site address">
    This is the web address your site will live at: `yourname.myglowply.com`. Type the **yourname** part, and Glowply checks whether it's available as you type.

    Your site address must:

    * Use only **lowercase English letters, numbers, and hyphens** (`-`)
    * Be **3 to 63 characters** long
    * **Not start or end** with a hyphen

    Examples that work: `cairo-flowers`, `nour-store`, `bestshop2025`.

      Pick something short and easy to say out loud — you'll share it with customers. You can map your own custom domain later; see [Site management](/en/account/site-management).

  <Step title="Enter your name">
    Add your **first name** and **last name**. These appear on your account and in support conversations. You can edit them later from your [Account settings](/en/account/account-settings).

  <Step title="Enter your email">
    Add the **email address** for your account. You'll use it to sign in, and Glowply sends receipts and any password-reset links here.

    <Note>
      Each email can be used for one account. After sign-up, your email is read-only — to change it, contact support. See [Account settings](/en/account/account-settings).

  <Step title="Enter your phone number">
    Add your **Egyptian phone number**. Glowply sends your verification code here in the next step, so use a number you can check right now.

  <Step title="Create a password">
    Choose a **password** of at least **8 characters**. A longer mix of letters, numbers, and symbols is harder to guess.

  <Step title="Submit the form">
    Submit the form to continue to phone verification. If anything needs fixing — an address that's taken or a field left blank — Glowply points it out so you can correct it before moving on.

<Warning>
  Two limits to know before you sign up:

  * **Egyptian phone numbers only.** Sign-up accepts Egyptian numbers.
  * **One free trial per phone number.** Each phone number can start one trial. Your phone number and email must each be unique — they can't already be in use on another account.

## Verify your phone

To prove the number is yours, Glowply sends a one-time code that you type back into the form.

    Glowply sends a **6-digit code** to your phone — on **WhatsApp first**, with an **SMS** fallback if WhatsApp doesn't reach you. It usually arrives within moments.

    <Note>The code is valid for only a few minutes. Enter it soon after it arrives.</Note>

  <Step title="Resend if needed">
    Didn't get it? You can **resend** the code. Check that your phone number was typed correctly and that you have signal or an internet connection for WhatsApp.

<Tip>
  No code after a minute or two? Open WhatsApp to confirm the message didn't land there, then use **resend**. If it's still missing, your SMS inbox is the fallback.

## After you verify

Once your code is accepted, your account is created and Glowply builds your site automatically — environment, template, domain, SSL certificate, and Store. This usually finishes in about **20 seconds**, and a **free trial** subscription starts for you.

When the build is done, you land in your **account portal**, never a technical screen. From there you can open your **site dashboard** to start editing.

## Common questions

  <Accordion title="The code never arrived. What do I do?">
    First, **resend** the code. Confirm your phone number was entered correctly and that your phone has signal or internet. The code comes on **WhatsApp first**; if WhatsApp can't deliver, it falls back to **SMS**. Each code is valid for only a few minutes, so request a fresh one if the old one expired.

    Each address can belong to only one site. If `yourname` is unavailable, try a small variation — add your city, your product, or a number, like `nour-store` or `cairo-flowers`. Remember the rules: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only; 3 to 63 characters; no leading or trailing hyphen.

  <Accordion title="Can I sign up with a phone number from outside Egypt?">
    Sign-up accepts **Egyptian phone numbers**. Use an Egyptian number you can check, since that's where your verification code is sent.

    Each phone number and each email can be tied to only one account, and each phone number gets **one free trial**. If you already have an account, [sign in](/en/logging-in) instead. If you think this is a mistake, [contact support](/en/contact-support).

  <Accordion title="Do I need a credit card to sign up?">
    No. Every new account starts with a **free trial**, so no payment is needed to create your site. You only top up your **Wallet** before the trial ends to keep your site running after that. See [Wallet & top-ups](/en/account/wallet).

  <Accordion title="Can I change my site address later?">
    Your `yourname.myglowply.com` address stays with your account. If you'd like to use your own custom domain, you can request that through support — see [Site management](/en/account/site-management).
